WHAT IS 18K GOLD?

18K gold is purer in composition and color compared to other types of gold jewelry, making it highly valued and esteemed as fine jewelry. With a higher percentage of pure gold, the color of 18K gold is richer and more intense. However, despite its deeper color, there is always a faint yellow undertone present in 18K gold jewelry.

An added benefit of 18K gold is that it is hypoallergenic. Some metal alloys used in jewelry contain nickel, which is a known allergen, but 18K gold contains only 25% metal alloy, minimizing the risk of allergic reactions. Additionally, because it’s made from pure gold, it does not tarnish and is both durable and valuable.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOLID GOLD, GOLD FILLED, AND GOLD PLATED?

  • Solid Gold: Solid gold is made from a uniform composition throughout the piece, with no coatings or overlays of cheaper metals. It is often an alloy and is identified by its karat value (e.g., solid 18K gold or solid 14K gold).

  • Gold Filled: Gold-filled jewelry is made by bonding a layer of gold to a base metal. It is less expensive than solid gold but still offers the appearance of gold.

  • Gold Plated: Gold-plated jewelry is made from a base metal (such as copper or silver) that has a very thin layer of gold applied to the surface. This layer is so thin that it can be rubbed off easily with a pencil eraser.

HOW TO SEND GIFTS?

All our products are shipped in a TILLÉ JEWELRY gift box, making it easy to send directly to the recipient. The invoice will be emailed to you separately and won’t be included in the package. You can also add a personalized gift message, which will be included as a notecard with your order.

 

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

ORDERING INFO:

You will receive a confirmation of your purchase within 24 hours. Orders typically take 1 to 2 business days to process, so please factor in this time along with shipping estimates.

We offer free shipping to Canada and the US.

 

TAXES:

Sales tax will be added to orders placed within Canada. We are not responsible for any taxes or duties that may be charged on US or international shipments.

 

RETURN POLICY

You can return unused products within 10 days of delivery. We accept items in their original, unused condition for either a refund or exchange.

All promotional and discounted items are final sale and not eligible for return.

To initiate a return, please email contact@tillegoldgallery.com with your name and order number within 10 days of receiving your product, and we will send you the return instructions.

Extended Holiday Season Return Policy: Purchases made between December 1st, and December 31st, are eligible for return until January 15th. Please note that all promotional and sale items are final sale and cannot be returned.
